PAUSE

An invitation to expand your emotional capacity, receive the nurturing you generously give and prioritize collective care.

September 11-October 23, 2024

Wednesdays, 6:30-8pm

The Time to Pause is Now:

Your needs, feelings and well being matter.

You know how important it is to practice self-care, fill your cup, but even self care feels like one more thing to do on your endless to do list.

The systems we have in place in our culture are set up for only some of us to thrive or we are told we are being selfish for taking care of ourselves.

Many of us have gotten into the habit of operating from a place of burnout, overwhelm or exhaustion.

We know we SHOULD care for ourselves consistently, so why aren’t we?

It has always taken a village

Caregiving was meant to be shared.

We were not meant to do it alone.

Step into an intimate group of collective care.

Where you will be seen, supported and restored

Pause is an invitation to expand your emotional capacity, receive the nurturing and care you generously give and prioritize your needs getting met.

When we share our experience, strength and hope we inspire others to do the same.

Elements of PAUSE

My name is Natalie Benway-Correll

I believe a life well lived is possible when we connect with the truth of our bodies, the power of our voice and the belonging we experience when we recognize we don’t have to do it alone.

As a survivor of childhood trauma, I have spent a good part of my life feeling disconnected from myself.

In my healing process, I slowly began to come home to the inherent wisdom and safety of my body.

I learned to ask for what I need, release what doesn’t serve me and move toward collective care, support and belonging.

Collective Belonging and Solidarity

Program Details

Inspired by the work of Sonya Reneee Taylor’s book My Body is not an Apology,

PAUSE will explore 3 essential processes for Collective Care and Restoration.

We cannot simply talk about what needs to change.

The transformation needs to be grounded in the body and held within the support of the collective.

This 3-step process addresses our: Thinking | Doing | Being

PAUSE is for you if:

  • You want to develop healthy habits for slowing down, turning in to yourself and the support of the group and regulating your nervous system.

  • You want to expand your emotional capacity to stay grounded and clear for the highs and lows in your life.

  • You want to stay emotionally regulated and address the habit of over scheduling, over efforting and overdoing.

  • You want to understand how to let go of a sense of duty, compliance, people pleasing, perfectionism or lack of imagination in all aspects of your life.

  • You are hungry to know more about how a calm nervous system leads to deeper access to a well lived life.

  • You want positive feedback and accountability for maintaining your self care practices.

  • You want to create safety and security in your body so you can reclaim your full body yes’s, no’s and maybe’s.

  •  You want to uproot old expectations and narratives about giving and receiving care and take the time to PAUSE.

We invite all those who identify as female, femme, trans, non-binary, or genderqueer to participate.

“Through the sacred art of pausing, we develop the capacity to stop hiding, to stop running away from our experience.

We begin to trust in our natural intelligence, in our naturally wise heart, in our capacity to open to whatever arises.”
